Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions at the German Coast Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 1st, at the east bank Ormond Plantation location in Destrehan. A plant swap will also be featured.
Saturday, May 1st, the German Coast Farmers' Market, located at
Ormond Plantation, will feature a representative from the St. Charles Parish
Library who will discuss library programs, sell an assortment of used books,
and give away free gifts. Deniese Zeringue will also be on hand for "Taste
of the Season," sponsored by the LSU Cooperative Extension Service, to
promote healthy eating and the tasting of fruits & vegetables that are in
season. Music by Blanch Newsome and arts and crafts will also be featured.
