Unemployment Insurance Seminar
The Louisiana Workforce Commission's local extension, the River
Parishes Business and Career Solutions Center, is hosting a seminar to
inform business owners and human resource professionals of ways to win
unemployment insurance appeals cases.
The seminar, 'How to Win Unemployment Insurance Appeal Cases,' will
feature a Louisiana Workforce Commission‚s Appeals Court Judge, David
Nelson. Nelson will discuss reasons for unemployment insurance tax
increases and what employers can do to prevent those increases. He will
also give an overview of the unemployment insurance program and the
appeals process. Nelson has years of experience in resolving
unemployment insurance tax appeals cases throughout the state and is a
subject matter expert.
Any employer who pays unemployment insurance taxes to the state of Louisiana should attend this event.
The seminar will be held at the St. John Parish Library, Hwy. 51 in
LaPlace, at 10 a.m. April 6. For more information about this event or
