The Community Chorus of the River Parishes is preparing to present its annual spring concert May 7 and 8 at Luling United Methodist Church, 1001 Paul Maillard Road.
Both performances begin at 7 p.m.
This year’s theme is inspirational songs. Selections will include “On Eagle’s Wings”, “What A Wonderful World”, “Ordinary Miracle”, “Swing Down Chariot”, “United We Stand” and many more. The chorus, formed in 2000, includes members from St. Charles and St. John the Baptist parishes. Two concerts are performed each year, during December for Christmas, and in May.
The chorus’ mission is, “To bring together voices in harmony for the purpose of promoting cultural enrichment through music”. The chorus is always seeking new members, and anyone who can sing is welcome to join.
Admission to the spring concert is free, but donations are appreciated.
