Willowfest
Willowdale Country Club, a St. Charles Parish community citizen since 1969, will be hosting its Second Annual "Willowfest" festival at the club, 500 Willowdale Blvd. in Luling on Saturday May 22. This event will consist of a scramble golf tournament, day long swimming pool activities, live band and delicious Wayne Schexnayder Acadian Foods!
The golf tournament begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 am, and is $50 per person. The Willowdale Gators swim team will have a practice swim meet scheduled to begin at 9:00 am. They will also be signing up any interested new members. The pool will be open to the public all day with life guards on duty and activities are scheduled. The festival will be held starting at 12:00 noon and will run until 6pm. Tommy G and the Stormy Weather Band will perform live staring at noon.
A raffle is being held which will give away $1500 to the winners. You need not be present to win. Tickets are $5 each and can be obtained at the club or from any Willowdale member.
This event is being held to reach out to the "Willowdale, Willowridge, Mimosa, Davis Plantation, & Lakewood (North & South) Community" at large. It’s an event which we all can be proud of and enjoy with our family and friends. It promises to draw us all together in the fun and festivities as a community event designed to celebrate the blessing of living in Greater Luling and St. Charles Parish West (and East bank) area.
Proceeds from the event will be utilized to help the club remain a viable, positive social and sports oriented business neighbor, and friend for our community for another 40 years and beyond!
