SoLA Center for the Arts will sponsor Houma ’s annual Halloween Parade at 7 p.m. Oct. 29.
The parade will start at Town Hall on Barrow Street then continue north toward Main Street. The parade will take a left on Main and end at the Court House square. After the parade SoLA will have a Monster Bash Ball at the City Club on the corner of Main Street and Church Street.
The parade will feature a variety of performers and community agencies. If you are interested in participating, please call, click or stop by the SoLA office. To participate in the parade there is a $25 fee, which includes a group of any size from 2 to 50. Also, every group that registers will get two free tickets to the adults-only after party, the SoLA Monster Bash Ball. Additional tickets to the Ball can be bought for $10 a ticket in advance or $15 a ticket at the door.
Anyone is invited to participate and join the SoLA Halloween Parade. Participants are asked to throw pre-wrapped candy; no beads please. Participants are asked to be in the Town Hall parking lot at 6 p.m. for lining up.
Community members interested enjoying the parade are welcome to view from anywhere on the parade route. Children wanting to attend the parade are welcome to wear their costumes. The parade will coincide with the Downtown Development Live After 5 event.
SoLA and the Downtown Main Street project is looking forward to sponsoring this event for the Terrebonne community and would like to invite everyone in the Lafourche and St. Mary communities.
