WHAT: Corps project managers will provide an update on the status of ongoing
construction and design efforts for all contracts in the Western Tie-In
project area, a feature of the hurricane system which reduces risk to
Jefferson Parish and portions of St. Charles Parish. Project managers will
also discuss proposed refinements to the Western Tie-In project, including
maintaining the existing Davis Pond Guide Levee as originally constructed and
allowing water exchange through the outer Cataouatche Canal, and an update to
the community on the design and construction timeline of the earthen ramp at
LA-18 in Ama.
