The St. Charles Parish East Regional Library book discussion group will host a Skype visit with author John Searles to discuss his most recent book, Help for the Haunted. Searles is a former editor at Cosmopolitan magazine and is an entertaining speaker, with many unique stories to share about working at the largest women’s magazine in the world.

Help for the Haunted is a mystery about a young woman haunted by the long ago murder of her parents, whose occupation was to help “haunted souls” find peace. It was selected for the American Library Association’s Alex Award, and appeared on the Boston Globe’s 2013 Best Crime Fiction list, Amazon’s Top 10 Mystery and Suspense Novels of 2013, and Entertainment Weekly’s Top 10 Must Read List.
