President Jewell and the Department of Economic Development and Tourism announced the launch of a campaign encouraging residents and visitors to shop local at small and locally owned businesses in St. Charles Parish.

“Small businesses have always been a vital part of our community and right now, they desperately need our help,” said President Matthew Jewell. “When we shop, eat, and do businesses locally in the parish, we are not only helping our neighbors and friends who own businesses, but we are directly affecting our sales tax revenues and our economy. So, let’s keep it local, and Let’s Take Care of Business in St. Charles Parish.” 

“Let’s Take Care of Businesses” is designed to remind residents of the importance of shopping and doing business with companies located in St. Charles Parish. $0.67 of every dollar spent goes directly back into our local economy and towards funding schools, roads, infrastructure, and other essential services.
