In 2020, the administration and parish council commissioned a parish-wide master drainage study to help decision-making to solve decades-old drainage issues. Engineers ran 25, 50, and 100-year rain events and recommended projects in each watershed to reduce the potential for flooding. These projects are broken down into phases based on their impact to the drainage system.  Each recommended project will require engineering, and their cost and location are approximate. The results of these studies will drive policy changes for development and provide a road map for future drainage projects across the parish.
