Free online courses through TechReady Louisiana can also be accessed through www.laworks.net along with postings of job fairs and other state workforce events.
For some seeking employment, training or educational financial assistance may also be available.
Employers in the region need a highly-skilled workforce. There is training available from area schools for nearly every high-demand occupation and we may be able to provide financial help.
Residents of St. Charles, St. James and St. John the Baptist may qualify for funding assistance for education and training.
If you are un- or under-employed, or you were laid-off and have just never gotten back to your same earning levels you may qualify for funding assistance that could include tuition, books, supplies, fees or other services.
Application for Career Services
Let's Work! River Parishes utilizes federal programs along with state and local partners to assist residents in finding employment. Services may include career counseling, resume and job seeking assistance, referrals to jobs or other agencies for assistance, and in some cases, training or educational financial assistance.
