Friends and neighbors of Dorothy Adams Richard will hold a candelight vigil in honor and in recognition of her outstanding and dedicated service to her friends and neighbors in Montz and surrounding communities at 5 p.m. June 7 at Montz Playground.
Mrs. Richard was a prayer warrior who spent time in the community witnessing to members about the love of Christ. She visited individual homes and prayed for the sick. She would help elderly citizens in their homes, take them to the store, do the laundry and help in any way she could.
Mrs. Richard was also active in the community. She would walk through the community several times per week, picking up trash along the way, and always stopping to greet passersby.
We would also like to remember others who have lost their lives in the canals of Airline Highway.
