Hahnville, LA – This notification is to certify that on April 20, 2020 at 6:00 pm, the St. Charles Parish Council meeting will be held via teleconference/video conference in accordance with Governor John Bel Edwards’ Executive Proclamation Number JBE 2020-30 dated March 16, 2020 and Executive Proclamation Number JBE 2020-41 dated April 2, 2020. In accordance with Section 4 of Executive Proclamation Number JBE 2020-30 and Section 4(E) of Executive Proclamation Number JBE 2020-41, the St. Charles Parish Council certifies that it is unable to meet the quorum requirements for an in person public meeting. Accordingly, the April 20, 2020 St. Charles Parish Council meeting will be held by conducting a telephone/video conference meeting as authorized by Executive Department Proclamations JBE 2020-30 and JBE 2020-41, and as further confirmed by Attorney General Jeff Landry on March 19, 2020. The inability to meet the in person requirements in a public meeting is due to the restrictions in place in response to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, and to ensure compliance with Executive Proclamations JBE 2020-30 and JBE 2020-41.
