ELMO RETURNS TO LIBRARY PLANETARIUM FOR SESAME STREET EXTRAVAGANZA
Sesame Street resident Elmo will return to the St. Charles Parish Library on July 23 for a special Sesame Street Extravaganza.
From 9 a.m. until noon the West Regional Library and Planetarium will host a free Sesame Street party. Young children and their families are invited to enjoy various activities, including crafts, coloring, story time and face painting.
Elmo will join the party from 10 a.m. until noon. While he interacts with the children, his assistant will create and hand out balloon animals.
Throughout the morning the planetarium will host five showings of “One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure.” Seating is limited in the theater, and there will be separate sign-up sheets for each showing. Come early to sign up for one of these special shows.
The planetarium is attached to the West Regional branch of the St. Charles Parish Library at 105 Lakewood Drive in Luling. For more information, call (985) 785-8471 or visit the planetarium on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/SCPL.Planetarium.
The Luling Winn-Dixie marketplace has offered to open its parking lot next door to the library for additional event parking.
The St. Charles Parish Library Planetarium has received support from local public broadcasting station WYES. To see more of “Sesame Street,” Elmo, Big Bird and friends, tune in weekdays at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
