South Louisiana Center for the Arts is presenting Little Red: Life in the Hood by Claudia Haas and Richard Cash. The performances are 6 p.m. Dec. 3 and 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Le Petite de Terrebonne, 7829 Main St., Houma.
Eldridge Play company summarizes the show by saying: “It's a media moment! Little Red Riding Hood has come to tell her story on Terry Tellus' talk show but is rudely interrupted by her grandmother and the wolf. It seems Red Riding Hood's version is nothing but a fairy tale! The grandmother and the wolf insist on equal air time. Henny Penny, Chicken Little and Turkey Lurkey appear as insurance agents, and the Three Little Pigs and the Three Little Kittens are present, too, as we make our way through the twists and turns of the different versions. Decide for yourself if Red is the heroine, the Valley Girl or every mother's nightmare.”
The cast’s ages range from 7 to 10, and all are students from SoLA Center for the Arts Drama Senior class. The show is fun and entertaining for children and adults. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased at the SoLA office, 7839 Park Ave., Houma, or at the door. For more information call SoLA at (985) 876-2222.
