The SoLA theatre department will present Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. at 7 p.m. April 20 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 21 at Ellender Memorial Auditorium, 3012 Patriot Drive in Houma. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

Taking place in New York City in 1922, the play tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz; a time when women were entering the work force and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever.
