St. Charles Parish is excited to announce that it is joining thousands of public agencies on Nextdoor to build stronger relationships with its residents. The social media platform brings members of communities together to receive trusted information, give and get help, get things done and build real-world connections with those nearby.  

“We are thrilled to launch our Nextdoor page and provide an additional form of communication for the residents of St. Charles Parish,” Director of Communications Samantha de Castro said. “Nextdoor will allow us to target specific neighborhoods with information relevant to them in an instant manner through their geotargeted messaging function.”  

Residents currently on Nextdoor will automatically receive our messages. Individual Nextdoor neighborhood networks remain private to those who are verified residents of the neighborhood network. St. Charles Parish will not be able to see what neighbors discuss. However, St. Charles Parish can see replies to its native posts.  

The launch of St. Charles Parish on Nextdoor marks the parish’s sixth active social media platform.
