MICHAEL A. MOBLEY, COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE, DIVISION A, is a longtime resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan for the past 45 years.  He is married to Rose Fertitta Mobley and they are the proud parents of two children; Therese Mobley and Tammy Mobley Malbrough and five grandchildren.

He spent most of his career in the retail auto parts industry, and previously owned his own auto parts store, St. Charles Auto Parts, which he opened in 1977; he worked as the district sales manager for national auto parts retailer NAPA Auto Parts for many years before retiring.

Michael is a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2409 in Luling and volunteered for the East St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department for fifteen years where he served as the former President, Treasurer, Board Member, and Line Captain.

Michael is a member of the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health and Environmental Committee; Operations, Maintenance and Construction Management Committee; Legislative Committee; Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee; and Hurricane Protection Projects Committee.

He is currently serving as a member of the Sunset Drainage District - Board of Commissioners; and is a member of the R.S.V.P. Advisory Council and St. Charles Parish Retiree Benefits Funding Trust – Board of Trustees.

Michael is a member of the Louisiana Police Jury Association, the National Association of County Officials, and NACo’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee.
