LA SANDRA D. WILSON, COUNCILWOMAN, DISTRICT I, is a longtime resident of St. Charles Parish, residing in Hahnville.  She is married to Terrell D. Wilson and is the parent of Sierra Robinson, husband Frank and Kelsey Wilson.  She is the proud grandparents of Kameron Micah Robinson, Kobe Jeremiah Francis and Koleston Jay Scott.

La Sandra is a graduate of Herzing University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management.  She retired in 2021, from St. Charles Parish Public Schools System as the Human Resources Manager.  She also earned leadership certificates from NACo Colin Powell High Performance Leadership and River Region Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class.

In 2012, La Sandra began serving as a Commissioner for the St. Charles Parish Zoning Board of Adjustment and later moved to the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Board until 2019.  

In 2020, she began her 1st term as District I Councilwoman and was unopposed for her 2nd term which began January 8, 2024.

La Sandra is a member of Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee; Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee; Operations, Maintenance and Construction Management Committee; Legislative Committee; and Hurricane Protection Projects Committee.

She is currently serving as a member of the Sunset Drainage District - Board of Commissioners; is a member of R.S.V.P. Advisory Council and South-Central Planning & Development Commission and a Board Member for St. Charles Care Center.

La Sandra is also a member of the Louisiana Police Jury Association, the National Association of County Officials, and NACo’s Community, Economic and Workforce Development Steering Committee.

She is a member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Charles Parish Rotary, St. Charles Women’s Club, the Louisiana and St. Charles Parish Retired Teacher Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
